Companies will be able to simplify their databases and to create a more efficient access for the public
Compiling innovation
With the support of its partners (Microsoft, Intel, and Oracle), who believe in the Costa Rican talent and wish to offer an opportunity for the development of new enterprises, Parque Tec has become an incubator of ingenious and interesting projects; One of these is the initiative of Rónald Arguello.
The business development of this entrepreneur started after concluding his activities as a university professor.
When Rónald heard about Parque Tec and its philosophy of supporting new initiatives, he decided to give himself a chance and applied with his project, which, originally, was conceived as a virtual directory.
Today, after eight months incubated in the “software park”, Rónald’s project has become a reality that goes beyond his expectations. He is currently developing a virtual library under his company’s name: “VSI: Virtual System for Internet.”
The need of maintaining decentralized and Internet-based databases, rather than locally hosted, is the starting-point of this project, which, according to Rónald, can be described as “a depot of digitalized documents stored in a network of computers.”
This initiative consists of providing this depot with a search engine of logical expressions with Boolean operators and partially logic expressions for all the fields of the descriptive registers that include the meta-information of the documents contained in the database.
This program permits to catalogue the digitalized documents from any point of the global web or local network by whoever is in charge: authors, researchers, etc.
Additionally, each reference can be protected by a password, which inhibits the accidental or intentional deletion by other cataloguer.
With the use of search-engines, the documents can be visualized and downloaded from any point of the network or web.
The expansion phase
At the present moment, Rónald is improving the system so it can be launched; he is also in the phase of improving the visual aspects of the system to meet a “marketable image”, necessary for any product to be successfully positioned on the market.
But the plans of developing this system do not exhaust here; every day there are new ideas and projects to improve the product, to take it to a “fourth, fifth, and even sixth level. In the future I want to incorporate virtual rooms to the system, a novel idea that makes the program easier and better.” Rónald is very euphoric and self-assured about the development of his product and of taking it to the next levels, which, in the near future, will benefit his clients.
Words from an entrepreneur
"Keep it simple, this is my motto.".
"The software is as important as the light-bulb; if Thomas Alva Edison had sold this idea, his family would own the world."
"I don’t think that software has to be expensive: the production costs have to be divided among the beneficiaries. Technology and inventions have to serve those who require them and this is what I intend with my project.
"Parque Tec makes these efforts because it knows how relevant software is for humanity.".
